Chapter Twenty-Two Summary

Marcus mysteriously disappears. After the police drop Susannah off at home, her mother and stepfather ground her for being at the Beaumont's home when she should have been in school. Due to Susannah's cooperation during the firemen's investigation, her mother tells her that her friend Gina from Brooklyn will be coming to visit. Susannah sees the newly-hung pictures in their living room; she realizes that her stepfather's first wife is the mysterious woman who wants her to deliver a message to Red. Susannah realizes that Red is her stepbrother, Doc, or David.
