Summary

Chapter 11, titled "Airhaven," continues to follow Tom in a third person narration as he enjoys some rest on the Jenny Haniver. Miss Fang had doctored Hester's wound and during that time, Hester had filled Miss Fang on the details of their journey. Miss Fang questions Tom about where London is headed but Tom has no idea and is suspicious about Miss Fang's intentions. However, he does know he needs to tell her something so he lies and informs her that London is in search of more prey. Fang laughs and takes the ship below the cloud line to get a better view of the Hunting Ground. This gives Tom a view of a giant, dead city being picked apart by a group of smaller towns.
