Chapters 15 - 16 Summary

Chapter 15: Angie tells Rex his home phone has been tapped, therefore giving the Grayfoots all the information they need about the meeting. Rex, knowing the car will soon run out of gas, takes his chances driving through the desert, hoping a cactus or the sand will stop the Grayfoots. This works and Rex and Angie are able to lose one of cars to a broken axle. The second car stops pursuit as well. The Grayfoots will not take the chance of being stuck in Bixby in the desert.

Angie pulls her knife out on Rex. He promises her that this was not the plan and that he will not let Melissa near her mind. Rex swears to Angie that he is the leader of the group and that they will listen to him. Rex looks around to see they are in...
