Summary

In Chapter 13, Isla sneaks into the Skyling realm in a disguise and discovers a happy and contented population. She fails to find the bondbreaker in the library but as she returns to the castle, Cleo spots her entering the castle. Fearing the Moonling will discover she has been wearing a disguise in order to sneak into the Skyling library, Isla flees down a series of hallways as Cleo pursues her. She reaches a hallway’s end and is about to be caught when Grim appears and uses his Nightshade ability to turn her invisible. Isla is surprised and confused that another ruler would help her in this life-or-death competition and Grim flirts with her in response.
