Summary

This section starts with Freddy going to the art show. As arrives there are people milling around having a good time. She texts Laura asking if she is coming but does not hear back. She bumps into Vi and Vi’s friend Mo. They all start dancing together (pages 181 - 182 do not have any text) and Freddy is happy and having fun. Suddenly she sees Laura in the corner with another girl looking very cozy. Mo asks Freddy if she is doing ok and Freddy turns to kiss Mo and they make out. Vi breaks it up, looking concerned, and Mo asks if they need a drink and Freddy runs outside. Vi finds her outside on the sidewalk sobbing. Vi says she thought Freddy had a girlfriend and Freddy says “I do” wiping a tear and Vi responds, “But it’s complicated” (186). Vi...
