Summary

The young adult graphic novel begins with two frames - with the only colors of white, gray, pink, and black. The top frame is in a school gymnasium with pink balloons floating above, and high school kids laughing below with heart balloons in the gym. Among the balloons there is a box that looks like an email message or bulletin saying “Dear Anna Vice.” (1). The lower frame includes more kids in a bathroom, and Freddy looking at herself in the mirror doing her makeup with another bulletin saying, “My name is Freddy Riley” (1). The next page includes more frames of Freddy with her friends in the bathroom as she talks to them and they ask where Laura is. There is another bulletin in the top left corner where Freddy continues her email saying she has read Anna’s column for years and wonders...
