Chapter 23 and 24 Summary

When Liam is 10, he goes to the office with his dad for the day. He wanders to the vending machine to get a snack. When he finds it broken, he goes to several other floors looking for vending machines. He is lost for two hours and when he returns to his dad's office, his dad didn't even know how long he'd been gone.

Uncle Pete cleans and Liam stays out of his way. Pete bursts into Liam's room. Liam expects Pete to tell him he is shipping Liam to his grandparents in Nevada. Instead, Pete tells him the guys are coming over to rehearse, that they rehearse every Tuesday and he doesn't want to hear any complaints or snickering out of Liam.
