Chapter 30 Summary

They leave the station and Picard gestures with his gun for Reacher to get into the Bentley. He does without arguing and pulls out. He drives to Eno's diner, orders breakfast and coffee, and uses the time to think. He knows he has to find Hubble, but he doesn't have the time to go from place to place. He spreads a map on the table after breakfast and looks at it for a long time before getting up to go. He takes note of the two men tailing them when they stop for fuel, and he smiles at them knowing they have merely an hour or so to live. He fuels the Bentley and manages to use a knife and fork to ensure the tire won't last long.

The ruse works and before long on the highway, they are forced to pull over...
