Summary

In Chapter 25, narrated by Atlas, Atlas discovers Josh has not yet finished his homework. Josh explains he is not avoiding his homework, he just cannot do it. He has been asked to look up his family history and draw a family tree. He does not even know the names of his family members, much less how to start looking for information about them. Josh comments schools should have to stop making kids put together family trees since no one has “normal” (215) families anymore.

Lily calls Atlas to ask if she and Emmy can come to his house. Atlas knows something is wrong when she says she is bringing the baby. Lily starts to cry when Atlas meets her outside. She explains that Ryle came by the apartment and realized they were dating. She describes his reaction. She admits that she is worried about...
