Summary
One day the men go to check out a brick factory. The people who work on the bricks start working early in the day because that is when they are most productive. It gets harder to work later in the day as they get too hot and too tired. Entire families work together making bricks. Iqbal is disturbed by the men working there because he does not believe that they even seem like men anymore. When Iqbal and his group speak to the workers, a man in charge comes out with a gun and tells them to leave. They all escape unharmed, but later when Iqbal talks to Fatima, he tells her that he was scared. He makes her promise not to share that information with anybody.
