Summary

In Chapter 85, Mary Katherine wakes up in a hospital room after crashing into Kate Reese’s car. She tells her parents she is pregnant. When she insists that there is no father, and has never had sex, they refuse to believe her. Hospital orderlies sedate her for a trip to the psychiatrist ward.

In Chapter 86, Mrs. Henderson drives to Mill Grove Elementary after incapacitating the police force. She retrieves an emergency bag she hid above a ceiling panel in the library, which contains a fresh change of clothes, as well as a butcher knife, zippers, thread and sewing needles. A voice gave her instructions to hide the bag there. The voice also told her to impersonate the anonymous messenger that contacted Christopher online earlier in the novel, as well as underline the series of letters in Frankenstein that Christopher was purposefully led to...
