Summary

In Chapter 74, Kate and Ambrose discover, through David's diary, that the treehouse made David as powerful as God. But David failed to stop the Hissing Lady or save the Nice Man.

In Chapter 75, Eddie believes he is being spoken to from beyond by his deceased grandmother, who tells him to go to Chuck E. Cheese’s. There, a depressed clown shoots himself in the head right in front of children at a birthday party. In the ensuing commotion, Eddie steals several rounds of ammunition from the clown’s bag. His grandmother’s voice instructs him to protect Christopher from Brady Collins.

Chapter 76 is told from Brady Collins’ point of view, as he sits in the hospital with his now lucid grandmother, Mrs. Keizer. She reveals that his own mother was abused the way she now abuses him. She tells him he is strong...
