Chapter 14 Summary

Marcus rushes into the room. He seems more concerned about whether Susannah is all right than the fact his boss is dead on the floor. Marcus examines Tad and says he's just drugged. Marcus examines Red and says he's only fainted. Susannah admits that she thinks Red is a vampire. Marcus concurs and says that Red is on medication because he thinks he is a vampire, but the doctors say it's simply a fixation. Marcus blackmails Susannah into not mentioning what happened there tonight or he'll have to tell her parents about her prank. He suggests that nobody will believe a juvenile delinquent like her over a respected businessman like Red.
