Chapter 8 Summary

Marcus asks Susannah if Mr. Beaumont hurt her. She says no. Then he accuses Susannah of playing a prank, which she denies. As she walks past the pool to leave, she sees Tad Beaumont swimming laps and getting out of the pool. Marcus is surprised Tad knows Susannah but leaves them alone. Susannah tells Tad about her article. When Tad finds out she needs a ride home, he offers to take her. As he walks away to change, Susannah notices he has poison oak on his neck. She explains how he got it and they laugh.

Chapter 8 Analysis

Now that Tad knows her name, he and Susannah will form more of a relationship. It might even turn romantic since Susannah thinks Tad is a Greek god.
