Claire Fraser

Claire Fraser is one of the main characters and the only one the narration follows in the first person. As a time traveler herself, Claire has knowledge of advanced medical techniques and diseases that will not be discovered or treated for decades. This makes her a valuable medic, even though many see her as a witch for what she knows. Despite this, Claire has a lot of compassion for people and is willing to help everyone she can. This includes the Loyalists like Captain Cunningham who try to kill Jamie. It is later revealed that Claire has some direct healing powers, as shown by her ability to save Susannah’s stillborn child and Jamie during the battle meant to end his life.
