Summary

Kate and Tully leave for college in Chapter 8. They join the same sorority at the University of Washington. At a frat party, Kate is attracted to a boy named Brandt. Tully attends her first broadcast journalism class with Professor Chad Wiley. She is determined to impress him.

Chapter 9 jumps to the end of sophomore year. Tully is focused on journalism while Kate is enjoying dating. Tully sleeps with Chad Wiley, starting a secret relationship. Kate goes out with them to a restaurant. Afterwards, she tells Tully she has a bad feeling about Chad. Tully becomes upset.

Tully and Kate make up in Chapter 10. Tully goes on sleeping with Chad. She gets an interview for a broadcasting internship. She gets the job. Meanwhile, Kate throws herself into sorority life. She dreams of getting married someday and is too scared to tell Tully she is...
