Point of View

Durango Street is written from a third person point of view that changes from character to character as necessary. The majority of the story is told from Rufus’ point of view but sometimes changes to that of Mr. Travers or Alex Robbins to relate parts of the story that Rufus is not a part of. The point of view puts most of the emphasis on Rufus as he is the catalyst of the story, but when the point of view changes it is done to show the motives of the people who are interacting with Rufus. All of them have good intentions in their actions toward Rufus and this is shown throughout the book but especially when the focus turns solely to them.
