Min

Min is a young teenager as the novel opens. She lives on the planet Jinju with her mother, aunts, and cousins. This extended family is very poor. Min and the others work hard to ensure their daily survival. She was very close to her brother, Jun, who recently joined the Thousand Worlds Space Forces and Min plans to join as soon as she is 17, the minimum age required. Min's life on Jinju is difficult and she has very few possessions and no luxuries. When she travels to Hongok and has a chance encounter with a cousin, she covets the luxurious lifestyle she witnesses, but that is not enough to keep her from her mission, despite the offer of a job that would have changed her life.

Min fills the role of heroine for this novel. She is driven, brave, and determined to find Jun and clear his name...
