Summary

In Chapter 14, Sujin wants to know why Min is curious about Jun. Min uses Charm to dismiss it as curiosity. The next day, Min works on a laundry robot and goes to lessons. Min had begun to feel bad that she was lying to Sujin and Haneul by pretending to be Jang. During lessons, Hyosu talks about the ships meridians, which are “lines of mystic energy that run through the ship” (120). Having clear lines are necessary for the ship to function. Those lines are similar to the gi of humans. Hyosu also talks about the “Engineer's Trance” during which a person's gi interfaces with the ship. Hyosu talks about the Ghost Sector, saying violence has recently grown near the Fourth Colony, possibly because the Dragon Pearl is there.
