Heffley House

Greg Heffley's home is where a good deal of the action takes place. This is because Greg and Rodrick, and sometimes Manny, all interact there and are the largest cause of Greg's irritation throughout the novel. This is where Rodrick's party takes place, where family come for Thanksgiving, where Greg hurts Rowley's toe, and where Frank keeps his Civil War diorama.

School

The second most prevalent setting in the book, Greg's school is where Greg feels the least accepted for who he is. He tries to fit in, even sacrificing his good friends in order to make himself look cool. His interaction with the teachers is also part of the problem, as well as his laziness when it comes to doing homework. This is also where the talent show takes place.
