December starts off with a bang as Greg’s parents finally discover the truth about Roderick’s party. They had learned about it because of a clerical error at the photomart. Greg’s mother sent Greg’s father to pick up pictures from Thanksgiving, but the clerk gave him the pictures that Rodrick dropped off from his party. When Greg’s parents open the envelope and view the party pictures, Rodrick is in deep trouble, and so is Greg because they figure that he was in on it, too.

Rodrick is grounded from leaving the house and he has to give up his car keys. Greg’s father won’t let him sleep in on the weekends either. Greg figures he has gotten off easy since all they did was give him a two week ban on playing his video games. To make...
