Chapter 11: The Song Of The Twelve Pages 314 - 348 Summary

Despite her awareness of the Song, and the parts all must play, Nita is still surprised when the Lone Power begins to sing his part. She listens more closely as the next segment begins when the Lone Power manages to convince the Wanderer, the Killer and the Forager to succumb to his temptations. Finally, the Lone Power turns his attention to the last three whales who are the Undecided. They argue with him - first Sounder and then T!h!ki. Lastly, Areinnye begins to sing. When the Lone Power turns Areinnye's attention to the calf she lost, Nita realizes with a start that they have strayed from the script.
