Summary

On Monday, Emmy spoke with Charles on the phone and invited him to come dancing with her since she was planning to go out with Bunty and William on Wednesday. Bunty was very happy with this arrangement. The night of the date, Emmy invited Charles up to her flat, along with William. Charles was very kind in praising William’s work as a fireman, and Emmy realized that Edmund had never once said anything as nice to William.

The group enjoyed some drinks, and then Charles and Emmy had some more at the dance hall once Bunty and William left them alone.
