Camelia meets up with Kimmie and Wes. They reveal that the media is picking up on the story of Ben's presence being detested by the student body. Camelia also fills Kimmie and Wes in on Debbie's story.

Ben arrives at school to see the sign has been changed over the mascot and drives off.

The animosity of the school body becomes overbearing for Ben, who decides to leave school early. Camelia relates Debbie's story to Wes and Kimmie, who -along with the reader- further align themselves against Ben.
