Ketterdam

Ketterdam is the capital of Kerch and the location that the entire novel is set in. It is split between two major areas: The Exchange where all the trade between merchants happen and the Barrel where the gangs claim territory for themselves. This creates a massive wealth inequality, as the Barrel survives off of casinos and pleasure houses that the wealthy use, but look down upon those working in them. It is also a central hub for water trade and declares itself neutral in the wider war. This does not stop war supplies from being sold to the highest bidder, though, as wealth is everything.
