Summary

Part Six: "Action & Echo" opens with Chapter 33: "Matthias" as the auction erupts into chaos. He sees the disgust of his Fjerdan breather, many of which he knows. Meanwhile, the Tidemaker says a false fund was made to funnel money to a bidder, Van Eck gleefully points to the Ravkans and Kaz. However, the Tide maker says money linked to Van Eck and Colm's fake person went to the Shu. Van Eck accuses Kaz of everything, but all of his evidence is discredited, including Alys’s kidnapping as he has no real proof Kaz was involved.

Then, a beaten Wylan arrives and it is revealed to the reader that the Dime Lions that kidnapped him were Kaz's crew. Wylan claims Rollins captured him a week ago and promises to say whatever Van Eck wants if they stop hurting him. Dryden realizes Van...
