Summary

Once Coraline is outside, she sees nothing but swirling mist. Her other mother is waiting for her. Coraline informs her that she has found two of the souls. The other mother tells Coraline she loves her but Coraline replies she does not want her type of love. The other mother offers a helping hand in finding the third soul in the form of a key that will open the other ground level apartment. A voice that belongs to one of the children warns Coraline that the other mother is probably trying to trick her. Coraline agrees, but unlocks the apartment and goes inside anyway.
