Summary

In Chapter 6, Clytemnestra realizes she is pregnant after she has morning sickness during a fighting match. Her mother notices her symptoms and tells her that she is pregnant. Clytemnestra mourns the end of her military training and grapples with the realization that she will become a wife and mother. She misses Tantalus dearly and she worries about him in his absence while he's in his home kingdom of Maeonia.

In Chapter 7, Agamemnon and Menelaus come to Sparta to ask King Tyndareus for help. They tell the story of their exile from their home kingdom of Mycenae: their cousin Aegisthus and their uncle Thyestes murdered their father and took the throne for themselves. They ask for the Spartans' help regaining power and Tyndareus agrees, eager for powerful allies. Later on, the royal priestess gives Clytemnestra a prophecy that she will be hated and punished...
