Chapters 14 and 15 Summary

Part Three, Day of Wrath, opens with chapter fourteen. Clary, Luke, Magnus, and Maia are talking and Magnus reveals that Jace is no longer with him. Jace and Alec arrive and it's revealed that Jace left Magnus's side the previous night, though he wasn't supposed to. Luke questions Clary about the previous night and she says the demon she was battling simply ran away. They can't figure out why and Clary shows them the rune she has on her arm - the leftovers of the dream in which she's on the beach. No one has seen that rune before and everyone is baffled about it. Clary repeats what the Faerie queen had said - that Valentine had "experimented" on Clary and Jace. She points out the rune she'd used in the Silent City that unlocked everything when it really should have...
