Summary

That afternoon Tiddy Rex knocked at the door, requesting that Briony meet Eldric in the square for a surprise, stating that Rose, too, was invited. Briony went along with it, even though she knew that Rose does not generally enjoy surprises. The surprise was a motorcar, beautiful and totally foreign to the girls. He drove them to a picnic that was prepared by Pearl. While they were enjoying their time, Leanne arrived, looking as beautiful as ever. Rose alerted the group to her arrival, catching a glimpse of her green dress in the distance. Leanne joined them, despite the fact that Briony clearly did not want her there.
