The Crystal Ball Summary

Fearing they will steal her power, an enchantress changes her sons into animals. One is turned into an eagle and the second a whale. The third son flees his mother and runs away. The youth makes up his mind to travel to the castle of the golden sun and rescue a princess who is being held captive there. He arrives at the castle using a cap he steals from some giants. He finds the princess. She is ugly. She tells him that if he looks at her in the mirror he will see her real beauty. The princess tells the youth that in order for him to rescue her and change her back into her real self; he must get a crystal ball and use it to destroy the power of the enchanter.
