The True Bride Summary

A girl is abused and given impossible tasks by her evil stepmother. The first task she is given is to pick twelve pounds of feathers in one day. Luckily a magical old lady comes and completes the task. The next task is to empty a pond with a spoon full of holes. The old lady also completes this task. Next the stepmother asks the girl to build her a castle complete with furnishings. Again the old lady completes the task. As the stepmother inspects the castle, she falls in the cellar and is killed. The girl is wooed by many suitors. She finds only one whom she would like to marry. This king's son goes home to gain his father's approval. The girl says she will wait for him beneath a lime tree.
