Chapter 9 Summary

The next day Jenna travels to Winter Haven to talk to Dr. Mellace's widow, Molly. Someone is trying to erase the connection between Dr. Mellace and the other dead man. Jenna is going to do what she can to stop them. Mrs. Mellace assumes that Jenna is from Dr. Pilcher's office. She immediately lays into Jenna about the cremation and tells her that she plans to sue the coroner's office. Jenna tells her she knows nothing about the cremation and asks if they could talk. She welcomes Jenna inside then tells her that she's angry with Pilcher because he cremated her husband without permission. He claimed that it was a paperwork mix-up. Mrs. Mellace tells Jenna that her husband was not suffering from any condition or disease.
