Epilogue Summary

David and Marie are walking along the beach, when Dr. Panov shows up. David accuses Panov of being the mole, who "knew every move he was making." (Page 662) The absurdity of that accusation brings David to his senses. He falls to his knees, crying bitterly. Panov says, "It's over. It's finally over."

Epilogue Analysis
