Summary

Chapter Eleven is told from the perspective of Bonnie. After the argument with Avery, Bonnie returned to the gym for the first time since helping Lucky to get clean. She apologized to Pavel for missing the sparring session with Danya and asked for another chance. Pavel agreed to the fight. To begin with, Danya dominated and Bonnie worried she’d lost her edge. As the rounds progressed, however, Bonnie became more sure of herself and felt confident in her fighting again. At one stage Pavel called out an instruction which Bonnie felt was for her rather than for Danya. Bonnie and Pavel locked eyes, causing Bonnie to become distracted and allowing Danya to successfully land a blow which knocked her over.
