Lyntons

Lyntons is the name of the house and estate in England where Frances and Peter are called to work. It is the setting for the major part of the novel. It is on this estate that Frances, Cara, and Peter first become friends. Later, it is in the rooms in which Peter and Cara had been staying that Cara kills Peter and then allows herself to die when she falls out of a window.

Killaspy

Killaspy is the estate house where Cara grew up. Arsonists had burnt the back half of the house, but it had been shored up and the family continued to live there. Cara met Peter at Killaspy when he visited the house because he claimed he wanted to buy it.
