Summary

In Chapter 13, Frances went to the apartment where she and her mother lived together. Frances remembered how her father had moved her and her mother there when Frances was ten, drastically changing her mother’s life. The place did not seem like home any more.

Frances visited the British Museum Library, the place where she had spent many days. No one recognized her. There was someone sitting at the desk she usually used. Frances was able to confirm that the Beatles had played in Dublin the year Cara claimed to have met George Harrison. Because the place where the newspapers were stored was closed for maintenance, Frances was unable to see if the photo really existed.
