Chapters 4 through 6 Summary

Chapter 4 finds Becks on the beach behind her Malibu house, preparing to indulge in her favorite pastime - surfing. Austin Holloway, her neighbor and friend since childhood, approaches and Becks is suddenly shy because she has recently developed a crush on him. They talk for a moment and agree to get together on Wednesday, and as Austin leaves, Becks is thrilled that they have a date.

In Chapter 5, Mac is pleased that her campaign for social chair seems to be on track. While at her locker, she is approached by Kimmie, who says that although she is Ruby's friend, she is quietly supporting Mac in the election. She also tells Mac that Ruby broke her ankle when she fell during the dance audition and that her record deal has fallen through. Ruby arrives and the girls exchange a few barbs, then...
