Chapter 37

Tris goes to her first meeting and finds out Chicago is about to crumble and riot. David wants to use the serum to reset everyone. Tris doesn’t like that idea because it becomes apparent that they don't want to reset the people because they care. They want to reset them to save their jobs and the experiment. Then it comes back to her, something that David had said to her in the lab a few days prior. He'd suggested that those in the cities are not to be viewed as anything more than subjects, saying to her: If we are going to win this fight against genetic damage, we will need to make sacrifices.
