Summary

Chapter 27

In the Weapons Lab Nita and a helper are holding David at gunpoint. They want him to give them the passcode that will let them into the weapons lab. David refuses and they shoot him in the feet. Next, Nita injects him with a serum that is a blend of truth serum and fear serum. David continues to babble and scream. Tris is almost there and can hear David's screams. She sends Matthew for help and continues without him. Tris enters the lab, wounds Nita, then rescues David, only to put a gun to his head and tell them that if they try to shoot at them, that she'll kill David to keep them from getting the passcode. The bluff almost works until she is about out of the door, then they open fire.
