Summary

Part Two is titled “The House of Wind.” In Chapter 14, Fayre dreads seeing the destruction Amarantha exacted on the city of Velaris. Rhysand says the twins, Nuala and Cerridwen, are the only people present at the house. Rhysand says the house is guarded by magic so that only Rhysand and Morrigan can winnow in, meaning the house is safe. He says Fayre will be safe anywhere in the city and is free to explore. The twins show Fayre to her room and she quickly falls asleep.

In Chapter 15, Fayre accompanies Rhysand from his townhouse and into the city. Fayre sees the sea in front of her and mountain peaks behind.
