Have students research the author's life and then create a five minute presentation of what they have learned.

Taking Photographs

Have students bring in cameras to class and then all take a picture of one item. Look at the pictures to see how different people have different interpretations of the same image. Or are all of the images the same?

Finding the Perfect Photograph

Have students look through their own photographs or through image galleries online to see what photographs might be considered the 'best' photographs in their opinion.
