Summary

The hunters take Percy and the others into the camp. Thalia initially clashes with one of the hunters, Zoe, but Percy isn’t sure why. Artemis has a private conversation with Bianca before bringing the others in. Percy explains everything about the Manticore, while Artemis explains about the Hunters. They are a group of immortal females that Artemis recruits at a young age, before they’ve had the chance to become distracted with other things in their lives outside of the hunt, namely boys. When Percy tells her about The General, Artemis gets afraid and says that he is a creature she must hunt alone. Bianca reveals she was asked to join the hunt, and she pledges herself to Artemis much to Percy’s dismay. Artemis tells Percy she will summon her brother, Apollo, to take him and the others back to Camp Half-Blood...
