Summary

Chapter 41

Piper and Jason celebrate his birthday while the others are out in the city. Jason confides in her, saying how he has felt useless the whole trip. He’s used to being the leader and not relying on others, but he feels like all he has done is get injured and rescued while working with the group. Piper comforts him, but the two are interrupted by Percy arriving. He tells them everything that happened and asks Piper to look in her dagger. She sees that the Romans are preparing to launch a full scale invasion on Camp Half-Blood. When that vision fades, she sees an image of Nico trapped in his jar with the giants happily toasting each other.
