Chapter 27 Summary

Ashil and Borlu try to get through the streets, but there is so much chaos Ashil ends up stealing a random car to get them to the company building faster. When they get to the building, they make their way to the roof, where Mikhel Buric, the Social Democrat and opposition to Syedr on the Chamber of Commerce. He's trying to escape in the helicopter from the Sear and Core building rooftop. He seems to have a bunch of True Citizens that armed trying to help him escape, even though Buric and the True Citizens are on opposing sides of the political war. Ashil tries to arrest Buric for breach, but Buric states his name is Ian Croft.

A shootout ensues. Buric gets shot. Ashil gets shot. Croft jumps into the helicopter and flies off with the pilot, while Borlu crouches over to...
