Chapters 23 and 24 Summary

Bettina confesses to Meredith that she won't be going to the dance with Cape because they are on probation. Bettina tells her they got caught having sex. Bettina even shows Meredith that she has Cape's coins from his penny loafers. Then, Bettina has to confess to Jake what happened.

Lowell ends up taking Meredith to the dance. After everyone is gone, Bettina puts the coins inside of her while she masturbates. She doesn't plan on washing the coins before giving them back to Cape.

Chapters 23 and 24 Analysis

Now, the secret is out. Bettina does the right thing by confessing to Meredith and Jake before they hear it around campus from someone else first. She seems to have an obsession with Cape that stems back to when Mack was having sex with Babs.
