Chapters 21 and 22 Summary

Bettina receives a postcard from Lucas. It's a charcoal drawing of her on one side. Lucas writes a note on the back saying he drew it a long time ago but that Babs told him not to send it to her until she was older.

Bettina wears her new dress, heels and her father's medallion to Cape's room. They end up exchanging Mack's special pennies from Cape's penny loafers for the medallion. Cape tells Bettina she can call the school to find out who won a medallion that year so she can figure out who her father is.

They agree to trade back the next time they see each other. Bettina convinces Cape to have sex without a condom, but the head of Cape's dorm walks in on them before they completely recover. They know they are both in trouble.
