Summary

In Chapter 12, Sunny is trying to figure out how to stop the fighting when she realizes a dragon is moving in the courtyard below. She recognizes Peril, a SkyWing who has too much fire and helped the dragonets escape from Queen Scarlet. Scarlet was cruel to Peril but is the closest thing she has to a mother. Sunny decides to follow Peril and urges Camel to come with her. Peril's first question is about Clay, the only dragon she has met who can touch her (because Clay is fireproof). Sunny says Clay has expressed concern about Peril. Sunny wants Peril to stop the battle outside the castle. Peril is trying to rescue Scarlet without killing anyone. As they talk, Sunny reveals that Peril's mother, Kestrel, is dead. Peril is sad that she parted ways with Kestrel, believing they would meet again some day...
