Chapter 31 Summary

Will makes it a point to show Kate how you can't listen to the gossip at school because it's not accurate. Willa asks Kate why she always thinks the worst about him but also still likes him. Will admits to Kate that his father left his mom for a girl that is only five years older than Will. His dad lives in Alaska now and has a new child.

Will says that he and Sam were friends until their mothers became business partners. His mother creates the catering menus and then Will's mother has to figure out how to fulfill the menu. Will says Sam usually uses Will as a cover story when he wants to cheat on Anna. Kate also finds out that Will is working at the Sports Shack to help his mother pay the rent.
