Chapter 14 Summary

Kate wakes up to her mother and grandmother arguing. Kate's mom agrees to take money from her mother, if she allows grandma to stay for the month. Kate's mom believes Grandma ignored her while she was growing up, including shipping her off to boarding school. Grandma says she did it to be unselfish toward Sharon because of her father being addicted to medication.

When Kate gets to first period, Will isn't there. One of the Jennifers tells Kate it's becaue Monica, Will's ex, is upset because when she went to the mall to see him the night before, Will had a hickey from another girl. In the girls' bathroom, Kate walks in on a conversation between, Tara, Diane and Anna. When Tara and Diane leave, Anna talks to Kate again.
